The brunette was discussing the blonde’s summer travels when a soft clicking of the compartment door earned their attention. Expectant expressions for a young brunette faded to mild confusion as two strangers took up the seats across from them. Mina looked between the two students and Chadwick with nothing but a question on her face. Thankfully, Chadwick was quick to catch the compartment up to speed. “Mina. Carson. These are two exchange students I came across.” He explained whilst paying no mind to the unimpressed look he knew was marring Carson’s features. Mina simply nodded before giving the students a warm smile. “It’s very nice to meet you.”
Carson followed suit with a brief nod of his own. “Charmed, I’m sure.” After his necessary politeness he turned back to Chadwick. “Couldn’t find her then?” The boy clad in blue merely shook his head. “Afraid not. She’s probably with Landon.” He responded with only half interest. Mina only watched the two squabble for a moment. “That would be Chadwick by the way. She pointed out lightly, trying not to laugh as a look of mortification passed over Chadwick at having failed to introduce himself. “Er- sorry. It must have slipped my mind.” Chadwick straightened up to face his guests properly. “So what part of Japan are you traveling from? Its not often we get exchange students from Mahoutokoro.”
“It’s true.” Mina agreed, running her fingers through her hair. “I can’t even remember the last time I saw these robes. You know they grow as the wizard does so they aren’t constantly having to buy new robes and the colors indicate how well they excel in their studies.” Chadwick began to ramble a bit. “Merlin’s beard, Chadwick. Why not give them a chance to actually talk?” Carson cut him off swiftly. If they were going to hear about another school he’d much rather hear it from the actual students and not his overzealous friend.
