There was a night
Where all the pain faded away
And I could sigh into your arms.
The stars lit the once black sky
And the dull lake glowed in Selene’s blessed touch.
We would dance and hum,
My cheek presses against yours
Your heart racing as wild as mine.
Finally we kissed
Allowing the frenzy of feelings
To explode on a lone bench.
My lip dragged out,
A hint of blood from rushing thoughts.
A night full of being happy and free.
Now all I can do is reminisce
And wonder why it must be so wrong between us.
Why is love such a messed up road
When it involves you.
