One Last Chance

I begin to question all that we know.

For love’s a game, with chance of major loss.

Yet here you are, my soul dragging in tow.

Through fields once covered in old timeless moss.

How my feet fall in rhythm to your pace.

You never look back, to see if I’m okay,

Just drag me through trees, in love with your chase.

The night sets and I know I’ve lost my way.

Following the stars, the pipers sweet pipe,

You beg for another chance, for our dance.

I know that Cupids aim, my heart can snipe.

For there’s always going to be your last chance.

It is sad to admit that I am yours,

Through rain and hail, no matter how it pours.

One Last Chance.
